Fire Signs for your business

When it comes to fire signs there are strict guidelines that need to be followed such as the size of the sign, the colour and the content of the sign. Fire signs are required by law to help people find escape routes and firefighting equipment. These signs are required under the Health and Safety Regulations 1996 Act. Fire signs should be situated in a normal field of vision and should be prominent and take precedence over all other signs and are usually located above doorways for increased visibility.

There are two types of signs:

Plain signs which are printed onto PVC and luminescent signs which are prined onto a special type of photoluminescent material. In general signs should be of a sufficient size so that they can be easily seen and understood. Luminescent signs stand out more than plain signs so generally they may be smaller.

Here at Screen Technology we follow strict guidelines when producing our fire signs so you can be sure that your signs will comply with the Health and Safety Regulations 1996 Act. Visit our Fire and Safety signs pages at http://www.screentec.co.uk/fire&safetysigns.html and at http://www.screentec.co.uk/Brandedfireexit.html where we offer a selection of mix & match customer branded fire exit signs. PVC ring binders for strength and durability

PVC is a flexible material and because of this when using PVC to make ring binders the finished product usually consists of an outer layer of PVC and an inner layer of cardboard for strength and sometimes an aditional layer of sponge to give the binder a unique texture.

The main advantages of PVC binders are that they are more rigid and less likely to bend or loose their shape. PVC ring binders can be used to hold a variety of materials from business plans to promotional sales packs for your company.

At Screen Technology we pride ourselves with the quality and durability of our PVC ring binders, why not visit our PVC binders product page at http://www.screentec.co.uk/PVCBinders.html or our homepage at http://www.screentec.co.uk to see what we can do for you.

Polypropylene

Polypropylene is produced by using the gaseous waste from oil (propylene and ethylene) and combining them to make a completely different material: Polypropylene. Before the invention of polypropylene these gases were simply burned and so greatly contribited to atmospheric pollution. Polypropylene is more environmentally friendly than other plastic materials such as PVC as it does not give off chlorine when burnt but gives off water vapour and carbon dioxide making it a chemically inert product. Polypropylene products last much longer than those made from similar materials as they are hard wearing and will withstand ageing and extreme temperatures.

There are three main types of polypropylene:
Opaque (solid)
Translucent (frosted)
Transparent (clear)

These materials can be printed using a wide selection of colours to provide a diverse range of ring binders to suite your needs.

Here at Screen Technology we are specialists of polypropylene printed products, why not visit our polypropylene binders product page at http://www.screentec.co.uk/PolypropyleneBinders.html or our homepage at http://www.screentec.co.uk and see a selection of the polypropylene products that we produce.

Product Comparisons

Over the next few weeks here at Screen Technology we will be posting short snippets of information about the various types of products that we produce and the materials that they are made from. To start us off we will discuss polypropylene as it is probably the most popular and diverse material for the reasons discussed in the post above.
